How Shreyapatha ratings work
Ratings on Shreyapatha come only from students and alumni, and our team confirms every one before it counts. These are the rules we follow for every college, whether or not it works with us.
Who can rate
- Current students and alumni of the college. One rating per mobile number for each college.
- Staff, management and their families cannot rate their own college.
How a rating is checked
- Every rating arrives as pending. A member of our team calls the student to confirm they studied there.
- Only confirmed ratings are counted. Ratings we cannot confirm, or that look organised or copied, are rejected.
- We do not edit a student's scores, and we do not remove a confirmed rating because a college dislikes it.
What is shown
- Stars out of 5 in six areas: academics and teaching, faculty, placements, infrastructure and labs, campus life, value for fees.
- The overall score is the average of the six areas. Every confirmed rating has the same weight.
- Stars appear only once a college has at least 5 confirmed ratings, so a single rating cannot define a college.
- The number of ratings is always shown beside the stars.
Money does not change ratings
Shreyapatha Partner and Featured colleges pay us for admissions support or placement. That never changes their ratings, and they cannot see or remove who rated them. A college found asking for or arranging ratings will have its ratings reset and the reason stated on its page.
